2025 Charities:
*2nd Quarter Charity - St. Frances Animal Shelter: Georgetown County's only open-admission shelter, taking in all abused, neglected, injured and abandoned dogs and cats. They provide these services for both the city and county of Georgetown, rescuing approximately 2000 animals each year. Saint Frances also provides a low cost, public veterinary clinic so that financial barriers never stand in the way of a family owning a pet and ensuring that the pet is healthy and safe. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats until they can be placed in loving homes. Raising awareness through public education, community outreach and an on-site veterinary wellness clinic, they seek to promote respect for the lives of cats and dogs by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community.
*1st Quarter Charity - Let's Connect the Dots: Began their connection journey on March 1, 2020. They are a non profit 501 (c) (3) that serves families battling cancer. They provide a connection package tailored exclusively to the connections via their connection form. They provide a resource list of wonderful organizations that also journey with cancer families that help with resources during this critical time. They are driven by personal experience, knowing the challenges a cancer diagnosis can bring to families; they want to be a small dot in the sea of the many a family battling cancer will need. Making connections; One dot at a time.
